孫博士，B.Sc. (物理，数学), B.A. (文学，哲学), M.Sc. (純粹数学), Ph.D.(粒子物理) 分别在 M.I.T. (麻省理工学院), Berkeley，Princeton，Cornell，Duke，U of Cambridge (剑桥大学) 等学府学习和教授。应用学术界的交流沟通和知识專長为中学生規划申请美加大学事項。不單是长线计划，更在旁親身指导一切学生所修的 AP 課程。AP (Advanced Placement) 是大学一年级的课程，是角逐奪標藤盟校録取最適當的武器。

 

 

    
我是 Bobby Ni 是今年 Lord Byng Secondary School 毕业致告別学生代表。我很幸运在十年级遇到 Dr. Sun。在短短兩年时间，我在他 AP 班里学习了十門 AP 课程包括 AP 物理1，物理2，化学，生物，微积分BC，统计学，微观经济，宏观经济，心理学，环境科学，而且每科都考 5 分，SAT I 也考高分。Dr. Sun 除了有系统地敎授内容而且介绍学術上最新发展以便刺激学生兴趣。Dr. Sun 帮助我分柝美国，英国最高学府学習生化系，我很高兴给英国的 Oxford 牛津和美国的 JHS (ED)约翰霍普金斯医学工程系錄取。Dr. Sun 帮助我走上了人生重要的第一步。

 

    
My name is Jeffrey Guo, and I am a recent graduate at Burnaby South Secondary School. I took AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Calculus BC, AP Statistics, AP Human Geography, and AP Macroeconomics with Dr. Sun and scored 5 on all these exams. Dr. Sun’s teachings not only cover the AP curriculum, but also give a well rounded understanding of the entire subject. Dr. Sun also assisted me plan for university, and helped me get into Johns Hopkins University. Studying with a teacher, who has deep knowledge in many academic subjects was truly an amazing experience.

 

   

I am George Huang, a recent graduate from St. George’s Senior School.  Dr. Sun is a passionate and inspiring teacher who makes everything easier to understand through his unique analogies and simple mnemonics. He has helped me achieve a score of 5 on AP Microeconomics, AP Macroeconomics, AP Psychology, AP Chemistry, AP Physics 1, and AP Physics 2. In addition, I took his SAT class and scored a 1590 in the SAT. All of these accomplishments have played a huge part in my acceptance into Princeton University. If you’re interested in excelling in AP courses or in the SAT, I strongly recommend Dr. Sun as a teacher!

 

孫博士是第一位学者於1995 在大温区引進各項AP 課目，至今已有二十五年引導学生豐富經驗。多年的真知灼见和毎一年升考美国名優大学成功的例子(請看以下展示)，證實申请者一定要具备学习優秀成绩，這是被成功錄取最重要的條件和成因。美国大学可分为三大类：極度選擇性(Extreme Selective), 適度選擇性(Selective) 和一般選擇性(Non-Selective)。每類大学有它的最底確定学習成绩(Minimum Academic Standing)。MAS 是一个綜合指数由就讀高中最後三年成課和公開考试(SAT, AP 或 IB) 成绩組合。一位例如只有適度選擇性學分的申請者不大可能考取第一流大學。今年(其實每年)有多位連考8門以上AP 的学生被世界頂尖大学(Princeton, Yale, Johns Hopkins, Columbia, Cornell, Oxford, etc.)錄取。絕對不是碰運氣，而是腳踏實地靠努力而所得的，這些学者值得我們至敬。
